The HFTP Annual Convention Draws 674 Attendees
for Continuing Education and Networking
Orlando, Fla; October 15, 2003 � A new record was broken this week, with 674 attendees registered for the Hospitality Financial and Technology professionals� (HFTP) Annual Convention & Tradeshow. This is the largest attendance for the 51-year-old event that starts today and runs through to Saturday at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla. The sixth annual tradeshow also set a record by selling out its exhibit space for the first time ever.

�The stellar attendance shows that professionals are placing continuing education and networking as a top priority for today�s workplace,� said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP�s executive vice president and CEO. �HFTP devotes a lot of time planning the Annual Convention & Tradeshow, making sure that attendees are delivered valuable information and great social events that offer plenty of networking opportunities.�

Attendees come for the high-caliber education program, tradeshow, networking opportunities and social events. The education program will offer sessions covering strategic planning, tax and financial trends, software agreements and much more. In addition to the industry-relevant sessions, the conference will feature the dynamic performance coach Keith Harrell, CSP, CPAE, and Jim Cathcart, CSP, CPAE, a member of the exclusive Speakers Roundtable which includes 20 of the world�s top speakers.

The tradeshow, which grew by 19 percent from last year, will feature 58 companies. Exhibitors will represent companies that offer a mix of hospitality industry services such as a variety of software, insurance, tax consultants, payroll services, human resources, high-speed Internet, Internet marketing, audio-visual equipment and financial management solution providers.

Based in Austin, Texas, HFTP is the professional association for financial and technology personnel working in hotels, resorts, clubs, casinos, restaurants and other hospitality-related businesses. The association provides continuing education and networking opportunities to more than 4,000 members around the world, and produces the premiere hospitality technology shows HITEC and ONHTEC. HFTP also administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designations. HFTP was founded in 1952 as the National Association of Hotel Accountants.
