Mr. Vlasic now advances to the statewide competition for the Illinois Hotelier of the Year title, to be announced Dec. 17.
Located at 171 W. Randolph St. in Chicago, the Hotel Allegro opened March 1998 following an extensive and dramatic $30 million renovation of an existing 1920s building. Unlike any other hotel in the Chicago area, the ambiance of the Allegro celebrates the city’s rich musical, artistic and theatrical heritage. Its decor features a mix of the classic and contemporary with preserved elements of the 77-year-old building’s original design and special finishes as well as deluxe, modern furniture, amenities and services. www.allegrochicago.com
