for Double-Digit Growth in 2003 |
DALLAS - Dec. 16, 2003 - UniFocus today announced that it has
selected Patrick Glennon to be its new chief technology officer, effective
immediately. In this role Glennon will be responsible for the operations
and strategic direction of the company's information technology, including
the data center expansion program for UniFocus' growing managed and hosted
applications business. UniFocus is expecting to post a 24 percent increase
in revenue over the previous year at the end of 2003. This growth
has been largely attributed to the Web-based applications and other IP-based
services that have experienced increased demand over the year.
Prior to being named CTO, Glennon was UniFocus' vice president of technology. In that position he successfully oversaw the development of cutting edge technology and support innovations. He kept a primary eye on optimizing processing capacity to ensure clients' their information was safe, secure and reliable. Glennon came to UniFocus from the Silicon Valley area where he gained critical experience in IP infrastructures, database architecture and Web-based customer interfaces. "We are very pleased to have Patrick's leadership and talent on our team," said UniFocus' Chairman and CEO, Mark Heymann. "We have experienced a successful year and have done it in tough times. We expect Patrick to guide our technological and capacity development in the same manner that afforded us the opportunity to be competitive in a tough economic period. When the industry emerges from this downturn, I'm convinced it will be those who kept innovating and investing who will have landed on their feet."
