� Benchmark Hospitality announces that Jack Schmidt has been appointed
Chief Marketing Officer for the international hospitality management company.
Mr. Schmidt was previously Vice President Sales and Marketing for Benchmark.
Sam Haigh, Chief Operating Officer for the company, made the announcement.
Mr. Schmidt has been affiliated professionally with a number of signature brand name hotels, resorts, and conference centers throughout his hospitality career. Some of these include the former Scanticon Hotel & Conference Center in Princeton, New Jersey (later re-branded by Benchmark as The Forrestal); the Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey; Peachtree Executive Conference Center in Peachtree City, Georgia; and The El San Juan Hotel & Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Prior to rejoining Benchmark Hospitality, Mr. Schmidt was executive vice president and partner of The Onyx Group, where he played an integral role in servicing the company�s lead client, Marriott Conference Centers. In this role he designed and conducted conference center sales training, and provided overall marketing consultation to this division of Marriott International, Inc. Jack Schmidt is a member of the board of directors for the prestigious global organization, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. He has also served previously on the board of directors for the International Association of Conference Centers. Benchmark Hospitality, an independent hospitality management company based in The Woodlands, Texas, operates resorts, conference centers and hotels both domestically and internationally. |
