style home was once the intended residence of wealthy faith healer Mary Hayes Chynoweth and her two grown sons.  Throughout its history, the Hayes Mansion has served as a unique setting for business and social activities. Renovated and opened to the public in 1994, the property quickly became the region’s premier facility for meetings and events. Now another chapter in the famed mansion’s history is being written.

A new wing, adding 74 rooms and a new conference wing, was completed in 2002.

“We are thrilled to be selected to manage this property and to have a California destination to offer our customers,” said company founder and CEO, Andy Dolce. “The Dole Hayes Mansion fits perfectly in our portfolio as a unique meeting destination for corporate and association meetings, management development and sales training.  We look forward to a very long and successful relationship with the City of San Jose in managing this important asset on their behalf and in invigorating the property as an valuable partner in the San Jose community."

Kay Winer, Deputy City Manager of San Jose, calls the decision to award the management contract to Dolce, “a win-win situation.”  She continues, “We are very excited to enter into a long-term relationship with Dolce International.  Their global reputation will serve us well and help raise the visibility of both the Hayes Mansion and the City of San Jose.  It is the prime example of a private and public partnership.”

Cedric Fasbender, a conference center professional with 19 years of experience in the hospitality industry, has been named General Manager for the property.  “We are delighted to be introducing the Dolce culture to the wonderful workforce that is already in place at this phenomenal property. We are looking forward to hosting many successful events and continuing the high-caliber of service and commitment for which the Hayes Mansion is known.”
