Hotel/Resort Sales Team of the Year: The Grand Hotel Minneapolis, Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA) 

On-Property Branding:  Aghadoe Heights Hotel, Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland 

Advertising:  Soho Metropolitan, Toronto, Ontario (Canada) 

Collateral: The Hotel George, Washington D.C. (USA) 

Direct Mail:  The Pfister Hotel, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) 

Public Relations: Willows Lodge, Seattle/Woodinville, Washington (USA

Web Site:  Wequassett Inn Resort and Golf Club, Cap Cod/Chatham, Massachusetts (USA) 

The five categories of Advertising, Collateral, Direct Mail, Public Relations and Web Site were judged and awarded by a panel of third party industry experts, which included Lewis Lazare- Advertising/ Marketing News Columnist, Chicago Sun-Times; Jim Kirk- Columnist, "On Marketing, Etc.", Chicago Tribune; Kristin Eddy- Travel Writer, Chicago Tribune, Ferdia Doherty, Partner at Rain Communications, Lance Rutter, President, Managing Director at Tanagram and Roberta Lee, Senior Vice President of Linden Alschuler & Kaplan Public Relations.

Submissions were judged on the stated objectives of the program, the impact and results following implementation, the creation and execution of the program and the creative/design of the program, along with how well the Preferred brand was integrated. 

The categories of Hotel/Resort Sales Team of the Year, On-Property Branding and Hotel/Resort of the Year were awarded by Preferred senior management and based on pre-determined criteria.
