Hyatt International Appoints Three
to General Manager Posts

 
Chicago, IL, July 22, 2003 � Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International Corporation, is pleased to announce the following executive appointments: 

Edward Andrews has been appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Belgrade, effective August 18, 2002.  Andrews, a graduate of Yale University, completed an extensive 16-year career with Intercontinental Hotels in the United States, Paris and Madrid.  He then joined Hyatt International in January 2000 as general manager of Hyatt Regency Casablanca, and in November 2001 was appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Brussels-Barsey.

Josef Kufer has been appointed general manager of Grand Hyatt Mumbai.  Kufer, a graduate of the Munich Hotel School, consolidated his studies with food and beverage management assignments in France, the United States, Munich and Singapore before joining Hyatt International in January 1994 as executive assistant manager � Food and Beverage for Grand Hyatt Seoul.  In September 1997, he was appointed resident manager of Grand Hyatt Taipei, and following a promotion to general manager  of Hotel Aryaduta Jakarta in November 1998, he was appointed general manager of Grand Hyatt Muscat in October 2001.

Rony Timsit has been named general manager of Hyatt Regency Brussels-Barsey, effective August 1, 2003.  Timsit, a graduate of Tadmur College, consolidated his studies and work experience with Sheraton and Hilton in Jerusalem before joining the Hyatt Regency Jerusalem team as a cost auditor in January 1988.  Following management assignments in the Information Systems, Materials Management and Food and Beverage departments, he was promoted to executive assistant manager � Food and Beverage in November 1996.  In October 1997 Timsit was appointed executive assistant manager � Rooms for Hyatt Regency Dead Sea Resort & Spa, and in May 1997 became the general manager of Hyatt Regency Jerusalem.

There are 208 Hyatt Hotels and Resorts around the world, which are managed by two separate groups of companies.  Subsidiaries of Hyatt International Corporation operate 62 hotels and 23 resorts in 38 countries, with an additional 17 hotels under development.  Hyatt Hotels Corporation, a separate company, and its subsidiaries operate, lease and franchise 123 hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
