 Rick Zeolla Appointed General Manager and Pasquale Strocchia Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing
at the Aruba Marriott Resort

SOMMERSET, NJ (August 5, 2003) - Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean and Mexico Resorts has appointed Rick Zeolla General Manager and Pasquale Strocchia Director of Sales and Marketing of the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. 
 
As General Manager, Zeolla will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at the resort.  Most recently, Zeolla was General Manager of the Bucharest Marriott Hotel, opening it in 2000.  During this time, Zeolla received the "Leadership Award 2002" as well as the award for Special "General Manager of the Year" due to his active role in the community.  Zeolla's successful career with Marriott began at the Oklahoma City Marriott Hotel in 1985.  Subsequently, he held various positions in the area of Finance before becoming Director of

Finance at the Castle Harbor Resort in the Bahamas.  In 1999, Zeolla was moved to Director of Finance at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel where he was later promoted to Resident Manager. 

In his new position as Director of Sales and Marketing, Strocchia will oversee all marketing and sales activities for the resort.  Most recently, Strocchia was Market Director of Group and Travel Industry Sales for Marriott International Offshore Resorts.  While in that position, Strocchia was responsible for the group sales effort of 10 hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico.  He oversaw the group and wholesale strategies of revenue, profit and demand associated with hotel rooms and space inventory for the cluster of Resorts. 

Prior to that position, Strocchia served as Director of Event Booking for Marriott International, where he was responsible for the reactive sales of ten New York City hotels and managed 26 sales managers.  Before joining Marriott International in 1997, Strocchia was the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Marriott NYC Eastside Hotel.  Strocchia began his career with Marriott as a Sales Manager for the LaGuardia Marriott in 1986.  Continuing upwards, Strocchia held sales management positions at the Somerset Marriott and Saddle Brook Marriott, before being named the Director of Sales for the Hanover Marriott in 1992.
