Receives C. Everett Johnson Award from the Industry
Real Estate Financing Advisory Council

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - June 4, 2003 -- Matthew J. Hart, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Hilton Hotels Corporation, received the C. Everett Johnson Award from The Industry Real Estate Financing Advisory Council (IREFAC) at the 25th Annual International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference in New York. This acknowledgement is given annually to an outstanding leader in lodging development and finance who has made significant and innovative contributions to the industry.
    
Prior to joining Hilton Hotels Corporation seven years ago as executive vice president and chief financial officer, Hart was senior vice president and treasurer for the Walt Disney Company. Prior to this, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Host Marriott Corporation, which he joined in 1981.
    
"It is truly an honor to receive this award and join a great list of past honorees," said Hart.
    
IREFAC originated in 1976 as an advisory body to the American Hotel and Lodging Association. It provides an overview of financing methods, sales, mergers, acquisitions and development planning.
