   Anthony L. Berger Named Group President of Cendant�s
Ramada and Howard Johnson Brands

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (June 12, 2003) � Cendant Corporation�s Hotel Group today announced the appointment of Anthony L. Berger as group president, a newly created position responsible for overseeing the operation, performance and growth of the company�s Ramada and Howard Johnson brands. 

Reporting to Berger will be Paul Hanley, Ramada President, and Ken Greene, Howard Johnson President.

Berger, who will report to Steven A. Rudnitsky, Hotel Group chairman & chief executive officer, previously was general manager & vice president of sales for the Food Service division of Kraft Foods in Glenview, Ill.  From 1994 to 2000 he worked for Nabisco Food Service, then based in Parsippany, N.J., in various capacities including vice president of sales. 

From 1987 to 1993 he was employed by Pepsi-Cola North America, Somers, N.Y.  He joined the company as area marketing manager based in Pittsburgh.  He later was promoted to senior marketing manger and in 1992 was named director of the PepsiCo Restaurant Group.

Before joining Pepsi, Berger was an associate product manager for Unilever in New York from 1985 to 1987.  From 1979 to 1983 he worked as a sales representative for Intermetro Industries Corp. in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.  He began his career in 1977 as a marketing assistant for Key Bank N.A., Albany, N.Y. 

Berger earned his bachelor�s degree in 1977 from Hobart College, Geneva, N.Y., and his master�s degree in marketing in 1985 from Syracuse University in New York.
