Louisville International Airport Board Selects Wyndham
to Manage and Brand New Airport Hotel Project
Opening Summer 2005

DALLAS (March 13, 2002) Wyndham International, Inc. (AMEX:WBR) announced today that it was selected to manage a soon-to-be-built hotel at Louisville International Airport and has agreed to provide pre-opening technical, consulting and management services to the Regional Airport Authority of Louisville and Jefferson County, which owns and operates Louisville International Airport and Bowman Field.  The future Wyndham Louisville International Airport, currently scheduled to open Summer 2005, will be the brands first property in Kentucky.

We are extremely pleased to have been selected by the Regional Airport Authority Board to manage and brand this exciting hotel project.  The addition of the future Wyndham Louisville International Airport fits our strategy to grow the Wyndham brand in key business centers and airport locations, stated Fred J. Kleisner, chairman and chief executive officer of Wyndham International.

Edging out its competition to secure the branding and management of the hotel, Wyndham was selected by the Regional Airport Authority Board out of the three major hotel brand finalists because Wyndham International met or exceeded the Louisville International Airport Authoritys objectives in substantially all economic categories.

Although all three finalists were highly experienced and competent, our selection committee recommended Wyndham as they submitted the most comprehensive and responsive proposal, stated J. Michael Brown, chairman of the Airport Board.  We took particular interest in Wyndhams high concentration of owned assets, which suggests a greater sensitivity to the hotel owners perspective and a true motivation to provide value for the entire chain.

Connected to the main terminal at Louisville International Airport, the hotel will be convenient to the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and famed landmark Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby.

Plans for the yet-to-be-built hotel include more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space, a signature restaurant, business center, fitness center, indoor pool and 225 spacious guest rooms with a possible expansion to 350 rooms at a later date.
Airport General Manager, Jim DeLong added, Wyndham personifies the upscale, full-service hotel that was envisioned for Louisville International Airport.  The Regional Airport Authority is pleased to offer the first Wyndham property in the city and is confident it will be an asset to the regions convention, tourism and meeting industries.

Based in Dallas, Wyndham International owns, leases, manages and franchises hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.
