Waterford Hotel Group Awarded Management of Two
FFC Hospitality, LLC Owned Courtyard
by Marriott Properties
Waterford, CT  (March 12, 2003) Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. has entered into two management agreements with FFC Hospitality, LLC to operate the Courtyard by Marriott in Orange, CT and the Courtyard by Marriott in Westborough, MA.  Under the new contracts, Waterford Hotel Group assumed management of the two Courtyards on March 1, 2003.  The addition of these management contracts brings the Connecticut-based hotel management firms portfolio to 29, 15 of which are Marriott-brand products.

We are honored to join forces with the Fine family and the entire FFC team in what we believe will be a successful business relationship, said Robert Winchester, president and COO of Waterford Hotel Group, Inc.  We are looking forward to working with and assisting the staffs of these two Courtyard properties.  Our extensive experience with the Courtyard brand makes Waterford the right choice to manage these facilities, he added.

Courtyard by Marriott was created in the early 1980s after extensive research into the preferences of frequent business travelers.

The 121-room Courtyard in Orange, CT features meeting facilities, high speed internet access, in-room valet, an outdoor pool, an exercise room, and a whirlpool.  The Westborough, MA Courtyard features 98 rooms, meeting space, Courtyard Café, and a cocktail lounge.  Guest room amenities include work desk with lamp, 2-line phone, speaker phone, voice mail, data ports, and high-speed internet access.

FFC Hospitality, LLC is a division of FFC Capital Corp., an investor in a broad array of hotels and other types of real estate assets across the country.  FFC was formed in 1998, but their heritage as a hospitality industry leader goes back much further.  FFCs pedigree comes from chairman Milton Fine, who co-founded Interstate Hotel (IHC) in 1960. He helped build IHC into one of the leading independent hotel management companies in the world.  In 1998, Milt sold IHC to Wyndam Hotels to start FFC with his son David and a select group of former IHC managers. In just a few years, FFC has built a solid foundation of focused investments and strong performance.

Waterford Hotel Group has experience operating virtually every type of hotel property, including limited services properties, all-suite hotels, conference centers, and large full service and resort properties.  The companys approach to hotel development and operations is hands-on, and features frequent site visits and constant communication with customers and partners.  Additionally, Waterford Hotel Group offers centralized accounting, financial reporting, strategic marketing, human resources, and day-to-day operations management systems to increase market share and profitability at all properties.  Waterford Hotel Group, with offices located in Waterford, currently operates 29 properties nationally.  Franchises managed include Marriott, Starwood, Six Continents, Choice, Cendant, and Radisson, as well as independents.
