the commencement of management of two new boutique hotels.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Executive Hotels & Resorts has entered
into a joint venture with Le Soleil Hotel And Suites Ltd., a Vancouver-based
hotel investment and management company, for the purpose of holding long
term leases and management rights over the Le Soleil Hotel in downtown
Vancouver. A management assignment for Le Soleil Hotel had been previously
announced by Executive Hotels & Resorts, however impediments to its
implementation were encountered as a result of outstanding lease obligations
which have now been removed as a result of the formation of this joint
venture. Executive Hotels & Resorts will manage the day-to-day
operations of the Hotel on behalf of the joint venture.
