HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII - 18 Dec 2002 - Outrigger Enterprises, Inc., today announced that it intends to enter into a franchise agreement with Marriott International, Inc. designed to give Outrigger's Wailea and Waikoloa Beach resort properties access to a global sales organization and 17 million members of the Marriott Rewards® program.

Tentatively scheduled for January 2003, the Outrigger Wailea Resort, located on Maui, will be known as the Wailea Marriott, an Outrigger Resort and the Outrigger Waikoloa Beach, located on the Big Island, will be known as the Waikoloa Beach Marriott, an Outrigger Resort.

Outrigger will continue to own and manage both properties and keep its name attached. All employees will continue to work for Outrigger Hotels & Resorts with no expected changes.
