December 12, 2002 - JHM Hotels, one of the nations leading privately�owned
hotel companies, has announced the acquisition of the Greenville-Spartanburg
Airport Marriott Hotel located in Greenville, SC. The 204-room hotel
has four suites, 11 meeting rooms with a total of 10,612 square feet and
is located within three miles of the airport.
JHM said it would invest seven million dollars in
the renovation of the Marriott, scheduled to begin in early 2003. A |

complete facelift to the restaurant facilities, guest
rooms, conference rooms and public areas will be included in the renovation
as well as the enhancement of services offered to the guests, local businesses
and the community. D.P. Rama, Vice President of Development
said, �We intend to transform this hotel into the premier lodging facility
in the marketplace.�
Steve Joyce, Executive Vice President, Owner and
Franchise Services for Marriott International, said that JHM Hotels has
been an outstanding franchisee and operator of Marriott�s limited-service
brand hotels and �We are pleased to welcome them into Marriott�s full service
arena.�

of the Marriott is a major step in the vision he had for JHM Hotels when

in Greenville, South Carolina, JHM Hotels owns/operates thirty-one hotels
representing 4,200 rooms. An additional 600 rooms will be added in 2003
with the completion of three hotels currently under construction.
