Susan E. Rachek Appointed General Manager at the
Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel
Lynn L. Thomas Named Director of Sales and Marketing
NORTHBROOK, Illinois . . . August 13, 2002 � Lane Hospitality announces the appointment of Susan E. Rachek to General Manager and Lynn L. Thomas to Director of Sales and Marketing for the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Ms. Rachek was General Manager of the Columbus Marriott North, Columbus, Ohio from 1997to the present and previously as the Director of Food and Beverage and Operations at the Buffalo Marriott Hotel in Amherst, New York from 1994 to 1997.  Prior to that she was Food and Beverage Director at the Omni Parker House Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts; Omni Northstar Hotel, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Omni Indianapolis North Hotel, Indianapolis, Indiana.

�Susan�s extensive experience in operations and her significant track record of outstanding performance in upscale hotels such as, Marriott and Omni will play a critical role in the continued success of the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel�, says Bill DeForrest, President and CEO of Lane Hospitality. 

Lynn Thomas joins the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel as Director of Sales and Marketing with valuable sales experience in the Central and South Florida markets.  Ms. Thomas was most recently Director of Sales and Marketing at the Doubletree Hotel Palm Beach, Florida since April 2001 and prior to that the Omni Charlottesville Hotel, Charlottesville, Virginia.  Previous experience as Director of Sales and Marketing includes the Orlando North Hilton, Altamonte Springs, Florida; the Doubletree Oceanfront Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Fort Lauderdale Hilton and Holiday Inn Worldwide in Irvine, California; Memphis, Tennessee and Orlando, Florida.
