NANTUCKET (August 12, 2002) -- Michel Ducamp,
a twenty-year hospitality industry veteran, has been appointed managing
director of Nantucket Island Resorts, operator of several nationally known
properties on this fabled island off the coast of Cape Cod. In his
new position, Ducamp will oversee all hotel operations, strategic direction,
financial performance, and sales and marketing initiatives for the five
upscale properties.
Ducamp comes to Nantucket from Las Vegas where he served as executive
vice president of hotel operations for Park Place Entertainment, the world�s
largest gaming company, with oversight for Bally�s, Paris Las Vegas and
the Las Vegas Hilton. Prior to his career in the gaming industry,
he held positions of increasing responsibility for a number of multi-national
hotel chains including Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts where he began
his hotel career, the Sheraton Luxury Collection, Four Seasons Hotels &
Resorts, Rocco Forte Hotels and Exclusive Hotels by Forte.
Ducamp is a graduate of Cornell University where he earned a master�s
degree in hotel administration.
