New Four Seasons Hotel to Open in
Silicon Valley, California
-
April 22, 2002 - The capital of high-tech will soon experience the "high-touch" appeal of Four Seasons legendary service and luxury. The 200-room Four Seasons Hotel will open in fall 2004.

"Silicon Valley is the heartland of North America's new economy," said Isadore Sharp, Chairman and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "We're looking forward to offering visitors to this area the consistent, personalized service and luxury they've experienced at other Four Seasons hotels around the world."

The new Four Seasons Hotel will be the centerpiece of a class A office complex. Located at Highway 101 and University Avenue, the Hotel is conveniently situated close to downtown Palo Alto, as well as to the city's most exclusive residential area and the campus of Stanford University. San Francisco is an easy drive away, just 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the north.

The Hotel will include a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and a private dining room; a spacious health club and spa, including a rooftop pool; and a total of 6,300 square feet (585 square meters) of meeting and function space, including an elegant ballroom.

"This new property in Silicon Valley will be our seventh hotel in the Golden State," said Sharp. "Whether traveling for business or pleasure, visitors to California can experience Four Seasons from San Francisco to San Diego with several stops in between."

With a history spanning four decades and a portfolio that now extends around the world, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is the world's leading operator of luxury hotels, currently managing 54 properties in 25 countries. In February 2002, the company opened its first Four Seasons branded property in China, Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai, and continues to expand, with over 20 projects in development stages in choice locations around the world.
