C. Peyton Day
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

C. Peyton Day founded Day Hospitality Group with Frederick W. Cerrone and serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for the overall direction of the company.

The son of Cecil B. Day, founder of Days Inn of America, Mr. Day grew up working in the hotel business. He started as a teenager by cleaning rooms and doing odd jobs at the first Days Inn on Tybee Island, Georgia. As the chain spread across the Southeast, he handed out keys at several of the Days' locations during his summer vacations. After college, he worked for two years in hotel site selection, Pacific division, for Days Inns of America, where he specialized in market feasibility and financial analysis for new hotel
projects.

At the age of 23, Mr. Day opened C.P. Day Development Company to build upscale single-family homes, primarily in Dunwoody, one of Atlanta's most prestigious communities. He worked with Jim Cowart, president of Jim Cowart Companies, the area's number one home developer. After time out to earn an M.B.A., Mr. Day returned to Atlanta to join America's largest real estate developer, Trammel Crow Company, in office and industrial leasing and construction.

He went on to devote full time to real estate investing for several years as a member of the board and partner of the Atlanta-based Day Properties, Inc. (D.P.I.). D.P.I. successfully joint-ventured development with many of Atlanta's leading real estate developers, including Pulte Homes, Post Properties, Scott Hudgens Company and Peachtree Residential Homes. In 1994, he and Fred Cerrone formed Day Hospitality Group.

Mr. Day holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia. He lives in Duluth with his wife and three children.

The new SpringHill Suites also offers complimentary Suite Seasons BreakfastSM buffet, a self-serve business center, same-day dry cleaning, guest laundry facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool spa and an exercise room.  The public areas feature living-room ambiance complete with wingback chairs, a dual-sided fireplace and fresh-baked cookies.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott is an all-suite hotel brand in the upper-moderate tier that appeals to both business and leisure travelers, especially women and families.  Launched November 1998, SpringHill Suites is projected to grow to 125 properties over the next five years, with locations throughout the United States.

Day Hospitality Group (DHG) is a full-scale management, development and consulting firm specializing in the select-service lodging segment of the hotel industry.  A franchise partner of Marriott International, Inc., (NYSE/MAR), DHG operates two Fairfield Inn by Marriott properties in Buckhead and Kennesaw; Fairfield Inn & Suites in Midtown Atlanta, Alpharetta, Perimeter Center, and Macon, Georgia; TownePlace Suites in Alpharetta and Kennesaw, GA and SpringHill Suites in Alpharetta and Kennesaw, GA. The company also has a Fairfield Inn in Charlotte, NC and a Hampton Inn at the Mall of Georgia.
