to the Day -  Eliminates the Traditional
Night Audit Function

Stanford Hotels install HTS Audit and Executive Information Systems

Minneapolis, MN - 14 Mar 2001 - Hospitality Technology Solutions, Inc. (HTS) announces the successful installation of its DA-5 Automated Hotel Audit & Executive Information System, and the  DA-5 Enterprise Solution Portal (DA-5 ESP) at three properties; the Sheraton Gateway Hotel San Francisco International Airport, the Hilton Washington Dulles and the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel Phoenix.

All of the properties are owned and operated by Stanford Hotels Corporation, a San Francisco based owner and operator of 17 full-service hotels.

The DA-5 Automated Audit & Executive Information System is an integrated process-driven solution that integrates the PMS, POS and Time Clock systems with property and corporate accounting systems in a seamless and managed process.  The DA-5 automates and compresses the night and day audit functions into a single function that takes much less time and enables hotels to switch to a five day - day audit environment.  Additionally, because data from a hotels daily activities is simultaneously streamlined into management reports and the general ledger, the DA-5 is an extremely accurate general ledger based executive
DA-5 - Automated Hotel Audit: Automates the conventional night audit and subsequent day income audit compressing the two functions into one job that takes less time.

The benefits of installing the DA-5 are:

(1) Almost always produces minimum staff reductions of 1-2 full time equivalents in full service hotels in excess of 200 rooms.
(2) Allows hotels to move to a five day - day audit and eliminates the night audit, a difficult position to staff and manage.
(3) As a by-product of the audit function and driving the journal entry, the DA-5 provides a comprehensive and powerful executive information system that produces daily reports that are  always in sync with the general ledger and the financial statements.

information system that provides management consistently accurate real time operating reports at a level of detail not readily available at most properties.

There are three aspects of HTS DA-5 system that led us to go with this unique approach, said Jim Evans, Chief Financial Officer for Stanford Hotels Corporation.

Certainly, we were very interested in its ability to automate the audit process and the efficiencies to be gained by eliminating as many manual processes as possible.  Secondly, we were impressed with the DA-5 and its ability to deliver management real-time, operating reports and business intelligence at a level of detail and accuracy not currently available to us.  Lastly, the DA-5 system will enable us to standardize revenue reporting across the enterprise and utilizing the DA-5 ESP consolidate daily operating information on a daily basis, regardless of the type of primary systems we have at our properties.
