ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. --
March 30, 2001 - According to the Bay Area Sleep Diagnostic Center, The
Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa, Floridas Legendary Pink Palace since
1928, boasts the best nights sleep while on vacation. To reflect
a new Mediterranean look and provide an atmosphere perfect for resting
peacefully, each guest room recently experienced a $65,000 grand makeover
as part of the $20 million enhancement project.
Every guest room features new Sealy 700 posturepedic
beds complete with goose down pillows and comforters and 220 Egyptian thread
count sheets.
Each mattress has double the amount of coils of
some heavenly mattresses, creating extra support to cradle The Don CeSars
guests throughout a blissful night of rest.
Raymond
Powell, director of the Bay Area Sleep Diagnostic Center, put these delightful
mattresses to the test, by staying the night at The Don. After the
tranquility of a night well spent, complete with a sky blue ceiling, in-room
CD players and waking up to The Don CeSars spectacular view, Mr. Powell
comments, I have never slept in a more comfortable bed in my life. It
gives you the feeling of all the comforts of home. |
How to Get a Good Nights Sleep While
On Vacation
1. Seek out accommodations that
have quiet, dark, cool, comfortable and secure rooms.
2. Limit noise by requesting a
room on a high floor that is not close to elevators, stairways, vending
or ice machines.
3. Sunlight can help chase away
morning grogginess, so if possible choose a room that faces east or south.
4. Play soft music on the radio
or CD player before bedtime to relax.
5. Check the thermostat upon arrival.
Keeping the room at a comfortable 65 degrees Fahrenheit will help to relax.
6. Pack a nightlight to navigate
the room without a bright light.
7. Once ready for bed make sure
the door is bolted and a Do Not Disturb sign is displayed outside.
8. So sleep is not interrupted,
ask the front desk to hold all calls until morning.
9. Request a wake up call and set
the alarm to provide extra insurance of a prompt wake up.
10. At night be sure to close the
drapes to reduce intruding light and noise. |
