Don't confuse the bigot by calling him a racist.

There are several issues that have been raised over the time of this subject. Most CCTV systems at hotels are watching employees, 85% of theft is internal the last I heard. Second only casinos and prisons watch monitors continuously and they change personnel frequently to prevent burnout. Neil is right cameras can produce evidence but rarely if ever stop theft. The pros are too good and fast. Years ago I was a party to stopping a theft in progress by a security officer spotting it and advising those of us on foot, but it is rare.

Suing for a stolen car is not a likely scenario. In the USA there's not enough money on the table to interest a lawyer for a contingency case, in the rest of the world loser pays. Do you want to take the chance of having to pay the hotel's lawyers and yours?
