Our comment cards were getting ripped up at the front desk if the comment was not favorable. Corporate never got to see the complaint just the "praise". I think they caught on after 4 years so now there is an 800 number the guest is requested to call. The suggestion is printed on a card left in the guest rooms however, haven't checked to ses if they are there! Too early for feedback from corporate.
Online feedback via e-mails to corporate usually are the worst kind of guest abuse....get a rumor rolling all over the industry because of cold breakfast or an encounter with an over worked front desk clerk handling five guest requests at once...... changing rooms for one guest three times or dealing with hot headed youngsters running through the property where parents leave the staff to babysit.
Frustration for most hotel staff is that for the better part of the year they bind over backwards for guest and then when a group of 100 or more from the same company fail to say any kind thing and one or two
cut your staff up into little pieces....that hurts!
