I do agree with you, Young that hotel should pay their staff more with their jobs to handle those stress and problems.
Anyway, I think most people (even hospitality management themselves) still consider hotel or hospitality jobs as a unskilled or semi-skilled work. It appears like hotel jobs are not much valued as the skilful jobs, rather sorts of servant jobs. I am studying postgraduate degree in hospitality management and most people always laugh or don't understand what to study so much in order to work in the service industry. They think that the only skills we do need is human relations skills. Well..that's of course partly true. But we, in the hospitality industry, all know that there are much more skills that people need to be able to efficiently perform their hospitality job, don't we?
