| Los Angeles - September 1998 - The J.J. Post Company, a
provider of insurance and risk management programs for the vacation and
leisure industries, has announced their newest product for the travel industry.
The program, called TravelGuarantee™, is designed specifically for the
vacation ownership companies who provide travel arrangements and online
travel services.
The product provides trip cancellation, trip delay, loss of baggage,
accidental death, emergency medical benefits, automotive breakdown coverage
for the “drive to” resort market, and additional benefits. The product
is to provide a value added product that travel services can offer.
Unique to the program is that the sponsoring resort company or online travel
service, participates in the good experience of the their members without
any risk of
loss.
Jeff Post, President of J.J. Post Company explained, “the consumers
travel dollars are becoming very valuable as the economy begins to slow.
TravelGuarantee is priced very aggressively to provide excellent value
to the consumer by protecting their travel dollars and themselves.”
The research and development of the product identified that there are
other travel insurance products in the marketplace. The analysis
revealed not only that they are more costly but also that the language
within the contracts is very restrictive. The TravelGuarantee program is
priced to be attractive to the middle income consumer while providing coverage
that would be only available to the higher income traveler. Because
of the insuring structure, the
program allows the individual company to put their name on the brochure
so that the consumer recognizes the added value of doing business with
the travel vendor. Marketing of the program to online services and
resort ownership companies who provide travel services will begin in early
to mid September.
