| FRISCO, Texas - December 20, 2000 - Continuing its phenomenal growth
both at home and overseas, TIV Operations Group Inc. (TIV), a telecommunications
auditing and consulting company to the hospitality industry worldwide,
today announced the acquisition of the telecommunications unit of Telman.
Privately-owned and based in Houston, Telman is a leading supplier of analytical applications to the hotel industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. David Larsen, Founder and CEO of TIV and sister company Wiredinn.com Inc. (Wiredinn), said the acquisition would significantly broaden the marketing scope and reach of TIV in the United States. “This is a major development for TIV as the company continues its strategy of growing globally while at the same time taking advantage of opportunities at home,” said the head of 13-year-old TIV. “The Telman purchase is in keeping with our overall business plan of making strategic acquisitions wherever and whenever they become available.” As part of the agreement, Daniel F. Prosser, Founder and CEO of Telman, will serve as a senior marketing advisor to TIV and Wiredinn, a provider of integrated broadband Internet solutions and the content-rich, traveler-centric Wiredinn Portal to the worldwide hospitality industry. “After 15 years of developing telecommunications solutions for the hospitality industry at Telman, I know the future of the hotel industry, and the impact of communications on the guest relationship, demands a new paradigm, new thinking, and new innovation, Prosser said. “By joining forces with TIV and Wiredinn, I am confident the future of communications for hotels is virtually assured. From TIV¹s unique services of enhancing telecommunications revenue and maintaining guest satisfaction, to Wiredinn¹s high-speed connectivity solutions and Wiredinn Portal, these companies are like nothing I have encountered in my years in the hospitality industry. TIV and Wiredinn are on the cutting edge of the next wave of technology development for hotels like no other.” “Dan brings a strong record of success and more than 16 years of industry expertise to our teams,” added Lou Martinelli, president and COO for TIV. “As a key leader in the U.S. hospitality marketplace, he will be an invaluable asset to us as he represents our companies domestically.” Prosser’s experience spans 22 years in the telecommunications industry, with 16 of them spent heading his own hospitality technology businesses. Founded in 1986, Telman immediately established itself as the pioneer in telecommunications and information technology management in the U.S. hospitality industry. Prosser is co-founder of the Technology Research and Education Center (TREC) at the Conrad N. Hilton College, the leading source of technology education and information in the hotel industry, where he also serves as a member of the board of directors for the college. Early this year, Prosser became the first non-hotel management recipient of the Honorary Alumni Award of the University of Houston - Conrad N. Hilton College. He serves on the planning committees of the UCLA Investment Conference and The NYU Investment Conference. His writings appear frequently in leading hospitality industry magazines. He speaks and writes on utilizing information and measurement tools to impact organizational outcomes, and the transformational nature of technology. Prosser serves as vice president of technology and is a member of the executive committee for the internationally renowned Houston Symphony Orchestra. In 1999 he chaired the Task Force Action Committee that transformed the governance, structure, and practices of the organization. About TIV Operations Group Inc.
